To get a break from driving far we'll start from Pattison, 41 miles, flat and easy.
This ride uses some back roads to Burleigh, then turns West to go to Sealy, rest stop in Sealy, back roads again to get to FM 1458 and back into Pattison. Flat route, ca 41 miles. Shorter alternative routes possible.
Start Location:
To get to the start, go west on I-10 to Brookshire exit to Hwy. 359 and turn right. Go about 1 mile to a stop light (T-intersection) at Hwy 90. Turn left at the light (paralleling the RR tracks). Go past one light (Otto St.) then turn right at the 2nd light (Bains St. / FM 359N). Veer left when you come to the FM 359/FM 362 split. Go north on FM 359 for about 2.5 miles until you come to a small sign that says "Royal High School". Turn right there (Durkin Rd.) and proceed to the 2nd school building.
