URBAN CHALLENGE RIDE

Join us for another adventure exploring Houston's surprising urbanscape. This is a special UCR - Dan's doctor has given him the go ahead to ride again, just as long as he doesn't crash. Good advice. We'll let Dan pick the route in case he needs to shorten his ride. The target distance is about 40 miles, and if Dan needs to break off early, the rest of us will go on for forty, then head back to join him for celebratory cocktails.

We usually ride a total of about 40 miles, with a breakfast stop and probably one more stop for refreshments. We head in a different direction each month, so this is a great way to see Houston from a perspective that you may not get to experience otherwise. Houston is full of surprises. This is a group ride, and nobody gets dropped, but you should be able to maintain a pace of 14 to 16 mph.

We'll meet in front of Dan's house at 510 Crestwood on the eastern edge of Memorial Park. Departure at about 9:00ish.
